Enjoying it so far!
I have wanted to buy a Gentle Roller for a long time but was hesitant as it is expensive. But after reading countless positive reviews I had to get it. It arrived quickly and I have already made a few items that I would never have had the energy to roll myself.
The only issue I had was during assembly. The screw holes did not line up to allow the rotating drive shaft to turn freely so we had to modify them. I was in contact with Phil and he was prompt and helpful but I believe this was a manufacturing flaw. I am grateful my husband is a mechanic and able to help me.
That being said, I am looking forward to many years of felting without the hard labor!
I have only had my Gentle Roller for a week, but so far I'm delighted. I set it up following the instructional videos online, and I have made a few test pieces of felt that came out nicely. I'm watching videos and reading the Facebook group to refine my technique, improve consistency, and learn what all can be done, and I expect that learning will continue for quite a while. I'm excited to explore the possibilities!
So far I have loved my gentle roller, setting up was quite easy and have used it to finish off some projects and start some new sample pieces for some bigger projects. I did complete a new pair of slippers in record time! The gentle roller is no doubt a great investment for my time while I explore more felt making.

This is a LARGE machine! Just so you know… the computer is very good… makes it all very easy. I am very glad I bought this machine. The delivery was good, also. I am happy with this purchase. I think it will hold up well.
